I said I wasn’t going to talk about the weather. Send productive and happy baby vibes my way! Today, I’m “on deadline” for one written project and one photo shoot, and they’re due a couple of hours before Mitch arrives home. I’m really excited, but I still have a few work-related and Christmas projects to finish up, and so I’m feeling the pressure. On a completely unrelated note, we’re either leaving for the East Coast on Friday or Saturday, depending on snow storms. Again, so happy for you! And Laura: what’s, like, the exact date you’re thinking of? Hehe… kidding. I was having a really rough day when we heard the news–you know one of those days during which you feel crazy overwhelmed and like everyone you love is mad at you–and the engagement brought me to tears, and reminded me that there is nothing more important than family, friends and love. But back to life:įirst of all, a HUGE congratulations to two of our best friends, Dan and Laura, who recently got engaged in Hawaii! Guys, we love you, and we’re so, so happy for you. Some of my favorite gifts from Nordstrom include this initial necklace which I wear all the time (and recently bought for a mystery family member), this cozy scarf, these Hunters, my favorite cozy socks, this sweater in pink, my favorite pocket sweater, this tote bag in black/cognac, these loafers which I SWEAR look just like Gucci loafers, this Patagonia, the sweater I’m wearing in this post along with this sweater in red and this sweater in tan, this scarf and this scarf, this black bell-sleeved tunic, this “cold shoulder” sweater, these Sam Edelman leopard flats, this sparkly sweater, this poncho, these Nikes which are perfect for traveling, and these Coach boots. (It’s free!) I also love how many awesome gift guides Nordstrom has. (Also, anyone else immediately think about this game from college upon hearing the word “snood”? So many wasted hours…) Nordstrom is my go-to for gifts this year, on account of the amazing inventory as well as the incredible customer service and shipping + return policy. I feel like I don’t even need to say this, but I found my snood at Nordstrom. So big, in fact, that I wondered how it would work for a little girl! I found that the neck hole was plenty big enough. Yes, it’s marketed for little girls, but it 100-percent works for women, too… and not just tiny women. The snood, on the other hand, is such a deal comparatively. I love the original, classic “Heritage” scarf, but let’s face it: it’s a bit pricey.

sweater!) / Sorel Boots (I also have these, which also come in navy, and love them! And here are the Burberry boots I recently featured, similar here.) / Canada Goose Jacket / Rag & Bone Jeans (And love the “Capri” cut in the lighter wash and black wash.) / Similar Mittensįor like first time ever, haha, I’m upholding a promise… and actually reviewing the Burberry snood! And did you see my recent post featuring the Burberry boots?) / BP.

Burberry Snood (It’s marketed for little girls, but it totally works for women and it’s a fraction of the cost of the original Burberry scarf.
